We are proud to announce Richard Constantinidi as one of the official jurors for the European Blues Challenge – Romania, taking place on July 21st, 2025, at Live Music Summer Camp Brezoi, the beloved home of Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi 2025.
🌍 A Journey of Passion and Purpose
Born and raised in the United States, Richard made a bold life choice early on: to pursue higher education in Romania – a country that would later become his true home. His love for music began in childhood, evolving from a personal calling into a lifelong mission.
🎧 A Key Figure in Romania’s Music Scene
With decades of experience, Richard has played multiple roles in the Romanian and international music industry:
- Radio & club DJ
- Music journalist & reviewer
- Promoter, band manager, and talent scout
- Organizer of major national and international music events
He is closely associated with the success of numerous Romanian bands and has been a constant supporter of rock and blues across Europe.
🎸 A Blues Advocate
Richard has written thousands of interviews and reviews and helped shape the scene through festivals, live tours, and grassroots artist development. He has been part of the Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi team since its very first edition and continues to uplift the Romanian and European blues community.
This summer, Richard returns to Brezoi – not just as an organizer or fan, but as a juror, ready to help shape the future of Romanian blues.
