We are honored to announce that Stephen J Harrison, Co-Owner of the renowned Blues Matters Magazine, will be one of the official jurors at the European Blues Challenge – Romania, taking place on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, at Live Music Summer Camp Brezoi, the beloved home of Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi 2025. 🎶

🎧 𝐀 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐞𝐬
Stephen discovered blues music at the age of 12, through Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones – and never looked back.
He began writing for Blues Matters around 7 years ago, contributing album reviews. Before long, founder Alan Pearce appointed him as Reviews Editor, a role he still holds today. After Alan’s passing, Stephen and Iain Patience took over the magazine – continuing its legacy with passion and vision.

🎯 At least five blues bands will take the stage to compete live in front of an expert jury and an enthusiastic audience. The winning band will represent Romania at the European Blues Challenge 2026 – one of the most prestigious blues competitions in Europe.

👉 Selected bands will also receive free access to the full Open Air Blues Festival Brezoi 2025 – an amazing opportunity to be part of the country’s biggest blues celebration and connect with artists, fans, and industry insiders!
